About ERS Automation
Meet Our Team

Bob Tenney, Founder and President of ERS Automation, brings more than 35 years of hands-on industry experience across hydraulics, pneumatics, PLC controls, and motion systems. Raised on a farm, Bob developed an early understanding of how machines function at their core—a perspective that continues to set him apart from others in the field.
Since founding ERS in 1995, Bob has built a proven track record of completing projects that other engineering groups have failed to finish or refused to take on. His strength lies not only in programming expertise but in his ability to adapt, problem-solve, and communicate effectively with vendors, staff, and engineers to deliver the best possible outcome.
Bob is a true generalist, with solutions that have impacted industries ranging from RV manufacturing to wastewater to aerospace. In the mid-2010s, he aligned ERS with Beckhoff Automation, becoming a founding member of the Beckhoff integrator group and bringing early experience in TwinCAT 2 forward into today’s TwinCAT 3 platform. Bob remains the kind of engineer who thrives on solving problems others shy away from—turning challenges into long-term, dependable solutions for customers.

Humam “Manny” Ould-Mey is the Engineering Manager and Software Specialist at ERS Automation, where he drives the company’s software strategy and execution. With a strong focus on Beckhoff TwinCAT 3, HMI development, and CNC development as well as general TwinCat 3 work.
Manny’s role blends technical depth with project management. He manages vendor relationships, stays at the forefront of new software tools and platforms, and brings a strong programming mindset to each project. His expertise has elevated ERS from handling straightforward projects to tackling more complex, multi-layered systems, all thanks to his hunger to grow, adapt, and continually push the company forward.
Working side by side with founder Bob Tenney, Manny transforms initial project concepts into execution: Bob brings the deep mechanical and systems knowledge, while Manny translates it into scalable, robust, and user-friendly software. Together, they provide a multifaceted approach that bridges engineering and software seamlessly.
As a specialist, Manny focuses on Beckhoff TwinCAT 3 HMI software while also learning and applying other PLC brands to best serve ERS’s diverse customer base. His servant-leadership approach, adaptability on the fly, and commitment to truly understanding customer specifications make him a trusted partner to clients and a key force in ERS Automation’s continued success.

With years of hands-on experience in industrial automation and controls, Tim Booth specializes in control panel wiring, 2-D electrical print design, and full machine integration. He works comfortably across multiple wiring styles—point-to-point wiring, terminal strip distribution, field I/O wiring, motor control circuits, VFD connections, and sensor integration—ensuring every system is built cleanly and logically. From reading and creating detailed 2-D electrical schematics to laying out panels and routing field wiring, he takes pride in turning solid engineering designs into dependable, real-world automation systems.
Beyond panel builds, he is highly experienced in troubleshooting industrial control systems, diagnosing electrical faults, verifying I/O, and resolving field equipment issues quickly and efficiently. Whether working with PLC panels, field devices, motor controls, or instrumentation wiring, he approaches every project with a practical mindset and attention to detail. His goal is simple: build panels that are organized, clearly documented, easy to service, and ready to support long-term machine performance in demanding industrial environments.
